Pink Shirt Day Media Launch & Cocktail Reception

This year we hosted a new event in celebration of the launch of Pink Shirt Day 2018. The cocktail reception took place between 5 and 7 pm and was held at JOEY Bentall on Wednesday January 30th where we officially unveiled the creative for the 2019 campaign. CKNW on air host Jon McComb hosted the event and the keynote speaker was Russell Teibert of the Vancouver Whitecaps FC.

The Pink Shirt Day 2019 campaign focus is on cyber bullying. Kindness requires no manipulation, no focusing on the negatives, and no filtering yourself. It’s simply, truly nice. For social media users, we want them to THINK before they post. We want them to ask themselves if it is: True, Helpful, Inspiring, Necessary and KIND.

Thank you to our generous sponsors for this event:

Coast Capital Savings, the Washington Kids’ Foundation, Global, CKNW, JOEY'S and Gray Monk Estate Winery.
