In 2008 thousands of people from around the world agreed to wear pink and say BULLYING STOPS HERE!
On February 25, 2009 we are asking you to make the pledge and wear pink to let all those around you know that you will not tolerate bullying.
Are you doing something special at your school, workplace or organization in honour of Anti-Bullying Day? Or do you just want to let people know you will be wearing pink on February 25th? Leave your comments below and be sure to forward your photos to info@pinkshirtday.ca or post directly on our Facebook event page by clicking HERE.

The H.R. MacMillan Space Centre and the Vancouver Museum are pleased to take part in Pink Shirt Day. We realize the importance of this issue, and given that our two organzations (we share the same building) literally see 10’s of thousands of young people every year, we wanted to lend our support.

I have a son who was relentlessly bullied in elementary school, and the lasting effects are cruel and painful. My son is now 21, my daughter 18, and they both will be wearing pink, as I also will be next Wednesday. There is no place for bullying, and this is a wonderful way to get the point across without more violence!!

The White Rock Millennium Rotary Club will pledge their support to Pink Shirt Day at their Wednesday morning breakfast meeting on Feb. 25. At the encouragement of Rotarian Peter Hertz who has been wearing pink all month, each member will wear a pink shirt and carry the message back to their workplace that bullying cannot be tolerated anywhere — not in schools, workplaces, homes or over the Internet.
They have also invited guest Janelle Canning of the White Rock RCMP who works with the schools in White Rock to discuss ongoing strategies to stop bullying. If you would like to attend the breakfast, please call our program director Jeff Richards at: 604-328-7976 or email jrichards@telus.net.
Rotary is a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders that provides humanitarian service and encourages high ethical standards in all vocations. New members are welcome to ensure we represent all areas of our community from finance to health, and education to construction.

I came across this website on Facebook and I took it upon myself to encourage my Grade Four students to take a stand against bullying. They had a recent presentation on Bullying so this came at a great time. The students decided to make a couple announcements to the whole school and go into each class with a poster, bully facts and the Anti-Bully Pledge. Each class signed their own copy of the pledge and have posted it in their room to keep as a reminder. Today, February 25th, we had an Ash Wednesday Mass and as I looked around at all the students in the Church it was overwhelming the amount of pink and red (we encouraged red also) that was seen. The students embraced this stand against bullying and I thank you for the opportunity to participate. I think I will make it an annual event at whatever school I am at.
Sincerely Michelle Davy

As a person who was bullied in school when I was young, I know too well the pain of being bullied. I’m wearing pink today to show my support.

I decided to dye my hair pink in support for today and showed up to school like that. It was fun and many other kids were very supportive of it. It’s permanent hair dye, so it won’t be coming out any time soon. xD I’ll show support all year! Haha. I guess it suits me seeing as how I’m Gay, came out in grade 8, and got bullied for it.

Students in my classrooms where bullying me. They copied the Teachers so it does
happen. Bullying is a learned behavior.
People should say sorry in this world and owe up for their mistake. no one is
perfect. and you might get in trouble a little bit if at all. But if you lie
you get in big trouble.
By Mistake I bumped into the main teacher and a teacher aid came and body
checked me and this is bullying. we should not allow teachers to get away with
this.
Treat people how you like to be treated. and its not nice when you hurt people.
The Teacher aid said was how do you like it?
I said I didn’t mean too. I said sorry.
The Unions need to do something and Bring Justice and Improve the school
systems world wide. they should not hind behind the rules.
Unions should protect Staff and Students.
Teachers and school staff should not hide behind the rules.
They should be professionals and follow the professional code of conduct.
They should be nice.
Lieing is wrong.
I don’t like it when People Lie. I been through a lot of people lieing in this
world. Its not fair when people lie and they don’t belive you.
I don’t like it one bit.
People should take responsibility for their own behavior.
People should not bully it hurts badly.
People should put them self’s in other people’s shoes.
People should not hurt people’s feelings.
Bullying is not healthy for the victim and the bully.
Bullies think it will boost their self esteem it does not.
Teachers Unions needs to do
something about some bullying teachers thanks.
They also should make it be required for a staff to report a teacher to the union.
They need to do something about this.
This can’t go on anymore like this.
We feel very helpless in schools and its not a good feeling.
Thanks!!!!!
Teachers say oh I didn’t see anything and lie and this is bullying. Bullying is
a learned Behavior.
Teachers say oh I didn’t see anything?
This is Bullying and teachers can get away with it!
Its not fair. Its not nice.
We Need to do something.
You have a legal right to go to a safe school.
Bullying is a Learned Behavior.
Roz rolled her eyes at my mom its not nice.
Its not your Fault when you get bullied.
When you tell on Teachers they think you are lieing when its the other way
around the teachers are lieing.
You don’t have to Put up with it.
Bullies and Bystanders and Victims need help.
Reach out to get help to people who care about your well being and safety.
We need to put a end to Bullying, it hurts.
A Teacher aid said to me she is going to feed me like a baby when I am in high
school with my pills.
I can feed my self this is Bullying!
You need to be role Models.
Bullying is not a nice thing to do to people.
Bullying is a learned Behavoir.
People have a right to feel safe!
I got hurt by teacher aids, a teacher aid body checked me.
People should not bully its a wrong thing to do.
I want all teachers to know to treat people how you like to be treated thanks.
Its not fair to bully people.
I got Anxiety and confused because of teachers bullying me and a teacher aid
stamped her foot. Be Professionals.
A school bus driver hit my face when I was little.
Nothing
Happens.
We are helpless in schools.
Stop bullying.
A Teacher aid Body
Checked me.
This is bullying.
Please help us
thanks.
we need to hold the school accountable, they don’t listen.
They
shut their ears to bullying when teachers do it to the kids.
They tell us not to bully but they do it to us when they get impatient.
Please put a stop to abuse thanks and
bullying.
Teachers Lie and They Protect them Self’s.
School Staff Protects
their workers.
They need to be role models and show respect and care and
love.
They need to be on the same laws.
They enforce laws and they need to
be on the same laws.
Teachers and school staff can run and hide, Students
can’t.
A Teacher aid put me in time out and he force me into time out and my
nose bleed.
That teacher only said sorry but other teachers didn’t.
He Put me in time out because I was cold and I didn’t want to take my coat off.
School
staff and students need to go to a secure and safe
school.
My Brother Jeff got bullied when he was in school and the Parents and school
didn’t do anything about it, it happens to people in school, not just my brother.
We need to do something.
Bullying Hurts. Teachers Unions don’t allow teachers to get away with
this, if you want to curb bullying this is the only way to go to stop
it completely.
Some schools are mean and Teachers.
When I was on Pro boards, I got a death threat from someone and they said they
want to hit me with a baseball bat.
Take 5. and Don’t make the Problem worse and write back.
I was an admin of Pro boards and I got a death threat.
This is Cyber bullying.
and I deleted my account.
Bullies want power over their victims.
We need to stop bullying, it makes every one sad and me too.
We want Personal Space that’s our humanly Right to have.
When My mom wrote notes in the Agenda Book to the teachers, they miss read it
and get
mad.
My Mom is a wonderful Activist for me. But when my mom does they get mad at me.
A teacher Aid Wrote Capital Letters in my Agenda Book because it was her fault
she made me get confused when she bullied me.
And this is not OK.
A Secretary said to me your mom is getting mad over nothing.
It is Something big.
Moms and dads should be activists.
This is bullying.
The end.
We need to do something.
People should say sorry. its much better to say sorry.
I support this cause.
